Lionsgate has officially opened its “Lionsgate Studios Yonkers,” which the studio/distributor claims will soon be the largest modern-built film and television production facility in the Northeast. The facility is located on the Hudson River in downtown Yonkers near the newly created Saw Mill River Plaza and new Metro North Railroad station.
Managed by Great Point Studios, the new dwelling houses two 20,000-square-foot sound stages, and a smaller, 10,000-square-foot stage as well as 100,000 square feet of office and support areas. Its size makes it one of the largest production campuses in the Northeast.
